Low and dense, this bushy three season native produced bottle brush shaped flowers in spring with a wonderful scent. Green leaves in summer transition to brilliant autumnal yellow, red and orange. Use as a specimen or accent, alone or massed, boarders, foundations, or small hedge.

Attracts pollinators. 

Full sun- part shade. Best foliage and shape in part sun/shade. Moist, acidic, organically rich, well-draining soils. AVOID clay. Zone 4-9.

Colonies may spread if root suckers are not removed.
