Sunning year round with plentiful purple  blooms from winter to spring, and bright green foliage that turns autumnal golds to reds. Use as a specimen near foot traffic for fragrance. 

Deer resistant, attracts pollinators. 

Full sun - part shade. Best blooms and fall color in higher sun. Average, moist, rich, acidic, well-draining soils. Zone 5-8.

Blooms on old wood- prune in spring after flowering if desired.
