Native woodland plant that is a strong grower with glossy rugose heart shaped leaves that have excellent bronze fall and winter color. Good shade groundcover. Blooms for 6-8 weeks. Easy to grow in cool woodland soil that is moist and high in organic matter. Will grow in full to part shade. Great groundcover plant for shade. Interplant with woodland bulbs, ferns, actaea, trillium, uvularia, cimicifugia, dicentra, tricyrtis, and hosta.
