Easy to grow trillium. Native eastern woodland plant distinguished by its large green leaves spotted and splashed with paler green, held up on a stiff stem with a central fower. Yellow flowers above foliage. Long lived once established. Needs only standard woodland conditions to thrive. Plant in moist, well-drained humus rich soil in full to part shade. Native from MD south in along Eastern US. A spring plant that goes dormant in the heat of summer. Perfect plant for the woodland garden, where they can be left alone. Interplant with ferns, hostas, and tiarella.
