An adaptable snowball hydrangea with large green, ovate, serrated leaves and huge creamy round flowerheads that last two months. Good choice for shady mixed borders as the large white blooms brighten darker spaces. Plus, this shrub makes great cut flowers when fresh or dried!
Rabbit resistant, clay, wet, and shallow-rocky soil tolerant, erosion control.
Part sun- part shade. Any moist, well-draining soil. Tolerates higher sun if soil is kept consistently moist soil. Zone 3-9.
Blooms on new wood - can be pruned within 8â of ground in late winter to encourage stem growth. Remove weak/damaged stems in spring.
