In spring this native shrub produces long, drooping clusters, of tiny fragrant white flowers that cascade down "Little Henry's' mounding form. Luscious bright green foliage turns deep red and orange in fall and remains till winter. With great erosion control and boggy soil tolerance, this majestic shrub does spectacularly along streambanks or wetter slopes. Don't forget to consider 'Little Henry' for your rain garden as it does great in spots that hold water both during and a few hours post rain events.
Deer resistant, attracts pollinators, wet/boggy soil tolerant, drought tolerant once established, clay soil tolerant, erosion control.
Full sun - shade. Best flowering and fall foliage color in higher sun. Any soil that is moist-wet. Zone 5-9.
Blooms on old wood - prune immediately after blooming if desired.
Tree/shrub or rose granular fertilizer can be applied in spring.
