Lovely dwarf, compact, rounded evergreen shrub. Like more sun than many of us would believe. Sun produces a more dense plant and heavier bloom. Best in acidic, humusy, moist soil that is well drained. Shallow rooting. Avoid windy sites. Dislikes being pruned. Deer will damage. Front of the shrub border, naturalistic woodland gardens and as a specimen. Zone 4-8.
