This is a compact deciduous climbing shrub with hardy large flowers. Their color of fading out from pale pink into white makes them very charming. Plant in humus-rich soil in part shade to retain the best flower color. Roots need to remain cool. Provide vines with a fence or trellis to climb. Their vines never overwhelm the support on which they climb, so theyโre ideal for mailboxes, and light posts.
Pruning Group # 2 - Flowers on old and new wood. Little pruning should be done for woody-stemmed members of the Group. If cut to the ground or pruned in fall or spring, flowering will be reduced or delayed but not prevented.
