What a beauty! Upon opening, 'Rosebud' Azalea's light purplish-pink flowers appear like classic tea roses. Vibrant green evergreen foliage stands out on its own and makes a delightful background to showcase the blooms. Makes for a beautiful specimen, or can be planted in mass, as borders, foundation plantings, or hedges. Consider this Azalea for woodland or shade gardens as well.

Part shade. Acidic, humusy, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-9.

Attracts pollinators= including butterflies.

Consider planting in raised beds if planting in clay soil.

Apply mulch to protect roots by maintaining soil moisture and temperature.

To lower soil acidity, apply sulfur or iron sulfate. To increase soil acidity, apply limestone or lime.

'Blooms on old wood - prune immediately after flowering. Remove spent blooms as practical.
