Tall, stately, bold, foliage of dark green, deeply cut, six fingered leaves supports plumes of breathtaking beauty. Can also be called Martha Washington’s Plume. Evenly moist humus-rich soil in full sun or part shade. Will tolerate a boggy soil. Zone 3-8. Do not let the plant dry out during the summer. Bold accent, specimen, hedge, or back or border plant. Plant with buddleia, white coneflowers, culvers root, and monardas. Attracts butterflies.
