'Northern Hi-Lights' Azalea is an upright, deciduous shrub with foliage that turns shades of red and bronze in the fall. From mid-late spring this shrub is covered in lightly fragrant white-yellow bicolored flowers that have a vivid blotch of yellow-orange. A great way to bring some color to mass plantings, borders, woodland or shade gardens, foundation plantings, or even hedges. 

Part shade. Acidic, humusy, moist, well-draining soil. Plant in a protected area.  Zone 6-9.

Attracts pollinators including butterflies. 

Consider planting in raised beds if planting in clay soil. 

Apply mulch to protect roots by maintaining soil moisture and temperature. 

To lower soil acidity, apply sulfur or iron sulfate. To increase soil acidity, apply limestone or lime. 

'Blooms on old wood - prune immediately after flowering. Remove spent blooms as practical.
