A multi-stemmed deciduous tree or shrub with showy white flowers from May-June that give way to pinkish-red berries in fall. And with fall's arrival comes the deep burgundy coloring of the once emerald green foliage. 'National' looks nice as a specimen, in groups, in borders, and woodland gardens.
Full sun - part shade. Humusy, rich, acidic, consistently moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-8.
Attracts pollinators, deer resistant.
