Aptly named, ‘Pleniflora’ illuminates your shady space through it’s plentiful abundance of double yellow blooms which cloak the arching canes in spring. And about those canes, they remain green, year round for an attractive winter feature and become blanketed in intricately textured green foliage that becomes yellow with fall's arrival. A surefire way to bring color to shady areas such as woodland gardens or can be used in shrub boarders, mass plantings, as a hedge or screen, within foundation plantings or as a specimen.
Deer resistant, dry and wet soil tolerant.
Part shade-full shade. Average, loamy, moderately fertile, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 4-9. Avoid higher sun as flowers will pale, and heavy clay soils.
Blooms on old wood - prune in after flowering in spring. Suckers can be removed in spring if undesired. Shrub may also be renovated by cutting stems back to the ground.
