โBluerayโ blueberries are an attractive native fruiting shrub for the landscape. They are self-fertile, but better fruit set will occur with two different cultivars. Brilliant red-orange fall color.
Full sun - part shade. Acidic (pH of 4-5.2), peaty, rich, consistently moist - wet, well-draining soil.
Zone 5-8.
Attracts birds and pollinators including butterflies.
Blooms on new wood - prune flowers the first year of planting to encourage vegetative growth. After 3 years, remove oldest 1/3 of canes. Most commonly used for pick-your-own operations.
