Sambucus Nigra Strait-laced (Laced Up) Pw 2 Gal

An upright narrow variety, 'Black Lace' delivers all the classic ornamental values of Elderberry without taking up a lot of horizontal space. Deep dark green and purple foliage is a stunning background for the light pink lacy flower caps that bloom in spring. Produces dark purple droops of berries in late summer when planted with a male such as 'Black Lace'.

Full sun -  part shade. Acidic, moist, well-draining soil. 

Attracts pollinators, deer resistant. 

Apply tree/shrub granular fertilizer in early spring. 

Prune immediately after blooming. May be pruned to the ground like a perennial.
