A compact hollyhock with coarse, lobed, bushy foliage, and flowering spikes carrying rows of large semi double to double flowers that open over a long time in summer. Average to rich, well drained soil in full sun or part shade. Zone 3-9. A cut flower for the cottage garden, but with its shorter height it makes a great showy patio garden plant. Plant in middle of sunny border for showy bloom and bushy look with ornamental grasses, Siberian iris, baptisia, and heliopsis.
