Slow growing mounded shrub to provide intense winter interest.  Dark green glossy evergreen leaves and bright red double flowers make this a real stunner. Plant in a protected area on the warm side of your house or amongst other evergreens to provide a natural wind break. 

Blooms are Red double flowers with showy yellow stamens and it blooms in Late winter- early spring

Pruning is generally unnecessary but if you want to, prune after flowering in spring to your desired shape and size.  

Zone 6-9 | Part shade | Rich, evenly moist, acidic soil.
