‘NewGen Independence' has a medium growth rate and a denser habit than ‘NewGen Freedom’. This boxwood resists leafminer and is BOXWOOD BLIGHT RESISTANT. Useful in mixed borders or mass plantings. In formal or traditional gardens they are used for edging or hedges.
Full sun -part shade. Average, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 5-8. Protect from winter winds.
Deer resistant.
Prune in early spring.
Apply mulch to maintain soil moisture.
