Crocosmia Emily Mckenzie

Firey-colored plants with lush green sword like foliage. Flowers are carried on stiff arching zig-zag stems. Good cutflower if harvested when 50% of flowers are open. Very sunny well drained site. Mulch a little over winter. South African native.  Zone 6-10. Plant along with coreopsis, garden phlox, salvias, artemisia, and lavenders.  Mass plantings very effective.
