Calycanthus Floridus Aphrodite Pw 2 Gal

This Sweetshrub blooms deep pink, almost red flowers along its stems, and look especially bold against the bright green, large leaves. This shrub has an irregular, open form if left alone. A fantastic addition to the landscape, take advantage of the sweet, apple-like fragrance by planting near an entry or outdoor living space.  

Full-part shade. Any moist, well drained soil.  Zone 5-8.

If planted in full sun, make sure soil remains consistenly moist. 

Deer and rabbit resistant, attracts butterflies and other pollinators. 

Blooms on old wood - prune immediately after flowering to maintain form and increase density.
