Both the deep-indigo flower clusters and the green deciduous foliage of 'Grand Bleu' Bluebeard are highly fragrant, helping to attract loads of pollinators in the later half of the season. This shrub is a great addition to perennial or shrub boarders, as well as  in mass plantings, or as a low hedge.

Full sun. Average, moist, well-draining. Zones 5-9

Attracts pollinators including bees and butterflies. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant. 

Blooms on new wood - prune in early spring. 

May sustain significant winter damage, shrub can be cut back to where new growth is emerging to refresh stems.
