Eryngium Hybrid Big Blue

This one is a show stopper. Bold textured, silver green basal foliage bears stiff blue stems topped with iridescent blue flowers with  spiny narrow collars. Great cut flower fresh or dried. Interesting accent plant. Grow in light, well-drained moderately fertile soil in full sun.  Eryngiums are native to the US.  Zone 4-9. Good plants for the sunny border where their shimmering silvery blue flowers contrast well with ornamental grasses and other delicately textured plants.  A must in a cut and dried flower garden.
