Small fonds composed of many leaflets hang down like fingers from shiny almost black, wiry forked stems. Fronds turn yellow in autumn. Lacey, delicate foliage on black stalks. Evergreen. Native woodland plant for moist humusy soil in dappled to high shade, receiving only morning sunlight and no strong sun light. Foliage sun scorches easily.
