Fiddleheads emerge reddish pink and unfold to chartreuse fonds with honey and pink tones. Keeps the bright bronzy color longer than straight species. Great for mixed containers as well. Asian native. Moist, woodland soil in shade. Zone 3-8. Plant in woodland garden or shady borders with woodland phlox, jack-in-pulpit, hostas, tiarella, and toadlily. Also makes a nice filler for shade mixed containers.
