Houstonia Caerulea Syns Hedyotis Creeping Bluet 5" Square

A native wildflower. A mat forming plant with densely branched stems that root and spread with tiny rounded leaves. Flowers on thin branching stems with pale blue star shaped flowers with a yellow center. Quick growing in partial shady, moist site. Great little spring bloomer for naturalizing the shady path or rock garden. Interplant with spring flowering bulbs, heuchera, primula, tiarella, and ferns.  One of the cutest things I’ve seen in a while.
