Saponaria Ocymoides Soapwort

Prostrate stems with oval leaves. Plants form sprawling clumps and stems have a tendency to root where they fall. Plant in well drained, sandy or loamy soil in full sun or light shade. If you want the plant to stay compact grow in poor, rather than rich soil. Use in rock gardens, trailing over rocks, with artemesias, yarrows, daylilies, veronicas or sedums.
