Aster Jindai 1 Gal

Large leaves emerge in spring looking like a big bunch of green chard and remain a basal clump until late summer. Then 5 foot stems erupt with clusters of sky blue flowers. Clusters of light pink-purple flowers with yellow centers on tall branching stems. Sunny or lightly shaded site in well drained but evenly moist fertile soil that doesn’t remain too wet in winter.  Zone 4-8.  Note:  Plants can spread aggressively by rhizomes in optimum growing conditions.
