Lagerstroemia Hybrid Red Rooster 1 Gal

Mid-size, upright, deciduous tree/bush blooms crinkly bright red flowers at branch tips. Foliage emerges maroon in spring and matures to dark green. Highly disease resistant. Great in beds, borders, hedges, and screens.

Full sun. Average, moist, well-draining soil. Zone 7-9.

Attracts pollinators, drought, heat and clay soil tolerant, deer resistant.

Blooms on new wood - prune in late winter/early spring. Death and damage can be removed anytime. Deadheading will encourage additional flower production but is not necessary for continued blooming.
