Ukigumo is a stunning white variegated upright Japanese Maple. Called "Floating Cloud" due to its cloud like appearance, the leaves rarely have a reversion to green once the white comes out on them. Young Ukigumo leaves are typically all green with the white emerging as they settle and their growth slows. The white can also get some pink to it. In fall, you get a whole new show with the leaves turning to a yellow-orange and pink before dropping for the winter.
