Native flower power! From May to June, long cylindrical drooping clusters of tiny white flowers cascade down 'Henry's Garnet' arching branches. Its not long till fall brings vivid autumnal reds, oranges, and golds to the foliage of this upright, rounded, board-spreading shrub. This shrub is very tolerant of heavy clay soil and soils that hold several inches of water both during and immediately after a rain event, making it a good idea for zone 2 of rain gardens. A great choice for erosion control such as on stream banks or slopes.

Full Sun- part shade. Best blooms and fall color in full sun. Average, humusy, moist-wet, well-draining soil. Zone 5-9.

If its natural way to spread through rot suckers is undesired, pruning can be done immediately after flowering as buds form on old wood.
