Podophyllum Spotty Dotty enjoys Shade with average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Nicknames 'Mayapple' they bloom maroon red flowers in Spring that a quite showy but can be hidden beneath the large leaves. Flowers give way to green fruit (mayapples). The umbrella-shaped leaves emerge chartreuse with brown spotting. In Spring they change to green with lighter spotting by Summer.
