Native to North America. A spring ephemeral with blue green, deeply cut foliage that forms a lacy mound and sends thin stems bearing white upside-down bloomer shaped flowers. Loose humusy soil that is moist and partly shaded. Native to most of North America. Zones 3-7. A lovely spring ephemeral, is charming along woodland paths with spring flowering bulbs and followed by emerging ferns and hosta. Tolerates Rabbits. Good for a naturalized area. Usually plants go dormant by summer.
